William Higgins Obituary

HIGGINS, William F.- Of Revere, formerly of Chelsea, July 13th. Devoted husband of Charlene (Salie). Beloved father of William Higgins of Melrose, Brian Higgins and his wife Kristen of Wakefield, Jennifer Higgins and her companion Anthony DiChiara of Revere and the late Kelly Higgins. Brother of Nancy Muise and her husband John of Lynn, Donald Higgins and his wife Louise of Chelsea and the late John Higgins. Cherished grandfather of Gianna, Sofia and Brian. Lovingly survived by many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend a Funeral Mass celebrated in the Immaculate Conception Church, 133 Beach Street, Revere on Friday, July 19th at 10:30 AM. (Please meet directly at Church). Visiting Hours in the Smith Funeral Home, 125 Washington Avenue, CHELSEA on Thursday from 4-8 PM. Services will conclude with interment at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the American Lung Association for COPD research.
Born in Chelsea a resident here until moving to Revere 30 years ago, William passed away the the CHA-Whidden Hospital late Saturday evening. An electrician by trade, he worked for many years at Market Forge and was a member of Electricians Brotherhood Local 103. He was most noted for his singing and performed with the Chosen Few and Proud of it as well as with Michael J. and the Inn Crowd.
