Thaddeus Karl Szarek

SZAREK, Thaddeus K.- Of Revere, formerly of Chelsea, February 6th. Devoted husband of the late Mary J. (Kaminska). Beloved father of Gerard Szarek of Andover and Mark Szarek of Groveland. Loving son of the late Joseph and Mary (Urbanek) Szarek. Brother of Genevieve Murray and Charles Szarek. Cherished grandfather of Matthew Szarek, Angela Szarek, Karl Szarek, Abigail Szarek and Peter Szarek. At his request, funeral services were private.

Born in Odzykon, Poland just over 96 years ago, with his parents left Poland for America when he was a young child. They settled in Chelsea in 1933 where he resided until building his own home in Revere in 1950. A graduate of Northeastern University with a number of degrees including an MBA, he went on to become the assistant director of New England Deaconess Hospital until his retirement after 25 years. A United States Army during WWII he was a founding member of the PAV Post 13, and the 1st Judge Advocate of the club.
