VITALE, Josephine A. (Fulco)- Of North Andover, formerly of Chelsea, December 13th at 94 years of age, from complications due to Covid-19. Devited wife of the late Robert Vitale. Beloved mother of RoseAnna V. McMackin and her husband Paul of Wrentham and Roberta Vitale-Nolen and her husband Troy of Windham, NH. Daughter of the late Cologero and Carmella (Lazzaro) Fulco. Loving sister of Grace Navarro of Chelsea and the late Jennie Fulco, Michael Fulco, Frank Fulco, Dominica Medige, Lena Stec, Charles Fulco and Salvatore Fulco. Sister-in-law of Margaret Fulco. Cherished grandmother of Parker Glasier, Laura Masterson, Robert Glasier, Sr. and Paul Masterson. Also lovingly survived by her great grandchildren, Robert, Jr., Alec, Connor, Callum, W. Logan and Sophie, her step-grandchildren, Dan McMackin and Michelle as well as many nieces and nephews.
In light of the present Covid Pandemic, following cremation, a private graveside service for her immediate family will be held. Once Covid has subsided and it is permissible for all to gather, a Funeral Mass followed by a reception and celebration of her life will be announced.
Born in East Boston in the family home on Gove Street, Josephine spent her first 30 years living in East Boston, in the Jefferies Point section until moving to Everett in 1955 and then to Chelsea, where she resided from 1958 until she required due to her health, supportive care found in a health care facility. During her years in Chelsea, she was a devoted wife and mother and spent time outside of her house as a member and volunteer of the Chelsea Senior Center as well as a volunteer at the Salvation Army on Chestnut Street.
The family strongly suggests that flowers be omitted and memorial donations in Josephine's name be made to the Chelsea Salvation Army, Chestnut Street, Chelsea, MA 02150
