RICHARD, Ernest J.- Of Chelsea, August 19th. Devoted son of the late Benjamin and Jeanette (Labbe) Richard. Beloved brother of Joann Scribner and her husband Larry of Indiana, Linda Riley and her husband Thomas of Chelsea, Arnold Richard and his companion Susan Kelley, Annette Purcell of Laconia, New Hampshire, Elaine Patti and her husband William of Chelsea, Edward Richard and his companion Rosemarie of Billerica, Barbara Richard of Chelsea and the late Benjamin Richard, Jr., Joseph Richard, Robert Richard, Janet Sturges, Frank Richard, Caroline Richard, Leonard Richard, Sussette LeBlanc and Wayne Richard. Also lovingly survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend Visiting Hours in the Smith Funeral Home, 125 Washington Avenue, Chelsea on Friday, August 23rd from 4-8 PM with a Prayer Service at 7:30 PM. Committal Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the charity of your choice.

Born in Boston and a lifelong Chelsea resident, Ernest passed away unexpectedly Monday at home. A proud member of AA, he worked for many years at Tudor Garage and then for over 20 years at U.S. Gypsum.
