Nicholas Parrotta Obituary

PARROTTA, In Tewksbury, formerly of Chelsea, peacefully on Friday, January 11th. Devoted husband of the late Carol A. (Tedford). Beloved father of Elizabeth West and her husband Christopher of Tewksbury. Brother of the late Lenore Parrotta. Lovingly survived by his sisters-in-law, nephew, nieces, cousins and many friends and acquaintances. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend a Funeral Service in the Smith Funeral Home, 125 Washington Avenue, Chelsea on Thursday, January 17th at 11 AM. Visitation with the family prior to the service beginning at 10 AM.  Services will conclude with interment at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.

Born in Boston on April 29th, 1936, he was a lifelong resident of Chelsea. Nick served 4 years in the United States Navy aboard the USS John Paul Jones. Upon discharge, Nick open his own hair salon on Broadway in Chelsea, Salon de Nicola. It was here that he met his future wife, Carol Ann Tedford. They married in 1962 and lived in Chelsea until her passing in 2016.

Nick was an avid outdoorsman and sportsman. He loved hunting and fishing and going to the beach to "get some color."
