Born in Boston 73 years ago, Freddy passed away in the early morning hours on Tuesday at home. His early years were spent on Joy Street in the West End of Boston. A graduate of Boston Trade School in Roxbury, class of '67, he began working with his father at the family owned Hillside Press. During this time he also began his career as a dedicated union printer with the Boston Herald, a career that lasted for over 45 years until his retirement 10 years ago. A resident of Chelsea for over 50 years, he was devoted to his family, especially his wife Diane, sons Michael and Marc as well as his grandsons, Domenic and Anthony. Even though he was a West Ender by heart, Chelsea was where he was instrumental in shaping the youth of Chelsea through his involvement with the Chelsea Pop Warner organization, where he served as President.
