Frank Zecha, Jr.

On March 14, 2023, Frank J. Zecha, Jr. of Chelsea, MA, passed away after a brief illness at the age of 90.  Beloved father of Frank Zecha, III and his partner Christine Falzone of Wilmington, MA, Andrew Zecha and his wife Alice of Newburyport, MA, and Anne Mitchell and her husband Michael of Lynnfield, MA.  Grandfather of Alysse, Joanna, Courtney, Brittney, Delaney, Kate, Lauren and Ashley, and great-grandfather of K.J. and Lucca.  Frank was the only son of Frank, Sr. and Ida (Giggey) Zecha.  Born and raised in Chelsea, Frank was a graduate of Chelsea High School and received his B.S. in Economics from the University of New Hampshire.  After running the ZechaMilk business that was started by his father, Frank was employed as a Health Inspector for the City of Chelsea for over 24 years.  He also was a long-standing member of the Cary Square Club in Chelsea, where he loved to play cards with his friends.  Frank was an avid reader and card player until the end.  He also enjoyed gardening and watching the Red Sox and Patriots. Visiting Hours at Our Lady of Grace Church, 194 Nichols Street, Chelsea, MA, will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 23rd to be followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m.  Interment services are private. Due to the Easter Lenten season, flowers are not allowed in church, the family suggests memorial donations in Frank’s name may be made to the Friends of the Chelsea Public Library, c/o Chelsea Public Library, 569 Broadway, Chelsea, MA 02150 or Mystic Valley Elder Services, 300 Commercial Street #19, Malden, MA 02148
